Herndon Park

LOVE Herndon park. Probably because it is so close to our house, and because of it's proximity to Southpoint Mall.

Herndon has both a grass and turf field. It does have lights. It also has a brick concession building. Inside the building are flush toilets, that are open during the week. There are softball/baseball fields there as well, and NOT a lot of parking. I try to get there early if we are having a group training session, otherwise you could be parking out on the road.

Walking/biking trails are available and you can take your choice of where you want to walk on a paved trail or a gravel trail. There is a small playground area.

This facility is pretty small, you won't find a tournament here, but most weeknights you will find teams out here practicing.

Herndon is right off of I40 and close to a large shopping center. If you don't want to sit in the car til practice is over, you might want to hop over to the many stores over by Southpoint.
